"All aboard" The Polar Express Train Ride™ this Christmas season! This holiday favorite, inspired by the hit movie, is brought to life when you and your family take a ride on The Polar Express™. With music from the motion picture soundtrack, you'll journey to the North Pole, enjoying hot chocolate and cookies served on board. Passengers can sing, dance, and listen to a reading of The Polar Express™. Don't forget to wear your favorite pajamas and join in on the magic!

Journey To The North Pole
Kid-sized, at 60 minutes long
Your journey to the North Pole covers only a portion of our line. Passengers do not disembark from the train at any time.
All passengers are provided hot chocolate & a cookie
All passengers will receive a special commemorative silver sleigh bell
Polar Lounge, Dome, First Class, and Table Class passengers receive a special ornament
Dome, Lounge, and First Class receive commemorative Polar Express mugs
Trains on TBA will be steam-powered (subject to change)

Passengers in Polar Coach Class receive a complimentary hot chocolate and cookie, along with a commemorative silver bell for all passengers.

Cancellation Policy
Polar Express Tickets are non-refundable. Trains can operate regardless of weather and we ask all passengers to plan accordingly, no refunds will be issued for missed trains or weather concerns. If you need to cancel your tickets, an in-house credit will be issued. In-house credits can be used on other Western Maryland Scenic Railroad trains, such as our Frostburg Flyer, Winter Brunch Trains, or Summertime Ice Cream Trains. Credits cannot be used to re-book Polar Express Tickets for the following years. Credits will not expire and can be held onto till used.

ADA Needs
Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of our equipment, our train is not ADA accessible. Wheelchairs can only be accommodated in Standard Coach. Mobility assistance devices can’t be brought aboard our trains. Contact our ticketing office to discuss your needs.
