Until recently, the Ramada was the Cumberland Holiday Inn—known to railfans for almost 45 years for its five floors of trackside rooms. Many of the rooms provide excellent views of the 25-30 CSX mainline trains just below and across the street.

Special Trains Photo Freight rates are $79 per night, single or double occupancy. Please ask for the Western Maryland Railroad/Trains Magazine rate.

There are a dozen restaurants within easy walking distance of either hotel in Downtown Cumberland.

There are another dozen motels and numerous restaurants at all price points within 15 minutes drive of Downtown Cumberland.

Cumberland is roughly 2 hrs from the Baltimore, Washington, and Pittsburgh Airports. Amtrak’s Trains 29 and 30 (the westbound and eastbound Capitol Limited) stop in Downtown Cumberland within walking distance of the Fairfield Inn, Ramada Inn, and the Western Maryland Station.
