You can purchase Gift Certificates in a monetary amount that are redeemable for any normally scheduled event on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Exceptions would be Day Out With Thomas, Photo Freights, Private Charters, etc.

Gift Certificates are valid for one year from the date they are issued. We forward the Gift Certificate to the purchaser unless requested to send directly to the recipient. If you are purchasing online and would like us to send the Gift Certificate directly to the recipient, please put the name and address information in the "Special Instructions" box. The recipient places reservations for the date they choose based on availability. Reservations for Special Events, First Class and Murder Mysteries require reservations a minimum of five days in advance. Reserve early since seating is limited. The recipient then exchanges the Gift Certificate for their tickets on the day of the event. (Note: If you cancel reservations for events involving food service inside of five days you will have to pay for the food cost when you reschedule.)

The Gift Certificate cannot be redeemed for cash and is not valid for use in the Gift Shops, Snack Car, Cash Bar, etc. If the full value of the Gift Certificate is not used, you will receive a voucher for the remaining value that will expire on the original Gift Certificate's expiration date. Same restrictions apply to the voucher.
