A variety of seating options are available on our daytime scenic excursions! Standard Coach and Premium Coach are offered every scheduled operating day; Parlor and First Class begin in late June. Limited handicapped seating is available, due to the historic nature of our equipment. Please call our office to discuss your needs. Learn more about our four classes of service below:
Standard Coach is available every operating day. Seating is padded, high-back, bench-style seats. Most seats are located by large windows and seat two on either side of the aisle. No reserved seating; it is on a first come, first served basis.
Premium Coach is also available every operating day. Guests have reserved seating in one of our more comfortable and spacious coaches. Similar to airline seating, these seats recline slightly and have foot rests. Seating is limited.
Parlor is available every operating day, starting in late June. The leather lounge chairs here are the most comfortable seats on the train! A cash bar of beer and wine is available. Guests must be age 13 or older. Seating is limited.
First Class is available on Saturdays and Sundays (beginning in late June), with additional days in October. Advanced reservation with a minimum of 7 days notice is required.
Passengers dine at reserved tables of four in one of our restored dining cars. Lunch is served on the way to Frostburg; dessert is served on the return to Cumberland. Seating is limited; assignments will be based on the time reservations are made.
Passengers will be given a choice of entrees at the time the reservation is being placed. All menu selections must be made at this time. Changes may be made until one week prior to departure date.
Cancellations must be made at least one week prior to departure date for full credit which can be used for up to one year. Cancellations after that will be given credit for the cost of the ticket only which can be used for up to one year. Food costs cannot be credited due to commitments already in place.
